EduServe Client Testimonials

St. Mary’s College of Maryland

“When it was time to start considering an ERP upgrade, we knew that we needed some help. Our goal was to find a partner that could complete an all-campus assessment of needs, and then help us understand what “best fit” options were available for our institution. I had been offered a couple of recommendations for other vendors to work with, but also found EduServe through the EDUCAUSE website. And at the conclusion of our bid process, Eduserve was selected to help us with this project.

When the EduServe team arrived on campus, they were very helpful identifying our core needs in addition to some potential solutions. The thing that I most appreciated about them was their knowledge of our systems and processes resulting from their years of experience working in higher education. Tom Warger and Teresa Smith met with each of our internal constituents and left them feeling confident that we were in good hands.

It’s one thing to be familiar with how to manage a project, but  EduServe’s higher education experience and knowledge brought to the table was the most valuable part of our engagement. Would I work with EduServe again if I have the opportunity? Absolutely.

“Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences had just created a new strategic plan, and we were interested in developing an IT strategic plan that mirrored the College’s. EduServe was brought to my attention because they were one of the vendors that was initially recommended by our board committee.

After finding out a little bit more about them, we loved the idea that EduServe was going to bring in folks that actually understood higher education, people that knew the unique struggles that we face. It really differentiated them. The consultants at EduServe are former and/or current CIOs and vice presidents, so they bring that invaluable experience to the table. They are also one hundred percent committed to your project. Tom Warger told me to contact him at any time in the future, so I took him up on the offer at the end of year one. I called him and he proved to be a man of his word, reviewing the plan again and addressing all of my questions. My takeaway from that was that EduServe is a company that stands behind their work.

Another thing I really liked about EduServe is that in today’s world of technology, they were still insistent on face-to-face interactions and did an outstanding job of facilitating the in-person discussions. After meeting our internal constituents and listening to their perspectives, Tom and Mark really understood where we were headed as an institution. We had an excellent experience with EduServe and I would highly recommend them to other institutions looking for expert consulting.”

Tulsa Community College

“We have consulted with EduServe on a variety of projects over the last ten years, and I can say without hesitation that the EduServe team is truly first class. The depth and breadth of their collective higher education experience from across the country is impressive, and that means you can rely on them to advise on best practices.

One large project that EduServe helped us with was a complete assessment of IT services and solutions here at Tulsa Community College. It was really more of a reorganization than a review. Among other things, EduServe was instrumental in the buildout of a new data center, the implementation of a call center, and the reorganization of department training and development for staff. In addition to the logistics, they understood the unique challenges of higher education and were able to get all the right decision makers playing from the same sheet of music.

Eight years later, we are still benefitting from the work that Chuck Mize and EduServe completed on that project, and the system is still running on the same design. We’ve made some improvements, but we wouldn’t have been able to if we hadn’t started off on the right course. In short, EduServe helped us invest our money the right way on the right projects first, and that kept us from having to spend more money later.

Another thing I value about working with EduServe is the process. They were always honest and upfront, great about managing expectations and following up. I’ve put that to the test, and what I learned is that failure is not an option with EduServe.”
